With only three weeks left until the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference preliminaries, members of the San Bernardino Valley College track and field teams got a chance to test themselves against teams from across the 3C2A at the annual Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College on March 20.

The cross country All-American won the event Friday, clocking in at 9 minutes, 35.25 seconds - setting the meet record for the event. His time was also the second-fastest in the state this season. He was followed by teammates Noah Townsend (fourth, 10:20.3) and Samuel Chavarria (fifth, 10:26.46) - placing both of them in the top 12 of runners in the 3C2A this season.

Nine of the 11 runners who finished in front of him also posted personal bests in the stacked field. Wahi Traylor also posted a personal best in the 400 meters, finishing with a time of 52.22 seconds.
